Website use

This website is provided for general information about Copper Lane services. Content may change without notice.

Accuracy

We aim to keep information accurate and current, but you should confirm project scope, pricing, timelines, and availability directly before relying on them.

Project terms summary

Websites are designed and built for a one-off fee of £1,200, payable half to book the work in and half on the day the site goes live. After launch, the public Copper Lane plans are Growth at £129/month and Local Pro at £199/month. All run on a three-month minimum term, then continue month to month and can be cancelled with 7 days notice, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Each project is confirmed with a written scope before work starts. Extras such as ecommerce, booking systems, heavy copywriting, brand identity, photography, custom integrations, or additional complex pages are quoted separately before work begins.

Payments and cancellation

Monthly billing starts when the project is accepted and scheduled. There is a three-month minimum term; if you cancel within it, the remaining months of the minimum may still be payable. After the minimum term, plans continue month to month and can be cancelled with 7 days notice unless a separate agreement says otherwise.

If payment is overdue, Copper Lane may pause non-urgent edits, active SEO, support, or new project work until the account is brought up to date.

Ownership

The one-off build fee buys the website outright. On payment in full, ownership of the finished website, its design, its copy and its assets passes to the client. Domain names, Google accounts, content, and other third-party accounts sit in the client's name wherever practical and stay with the client.

Hosting and the connected tools (such as review and follow-up systems) run on the Copper Lane platform and form part of the ongoing monthly service. If the plan is cancelled, that service ends and those tools stop. The website itself remains the client's: Copper Lane will provide a complete export of the site within 14 days of cancellation so it can be hosted elsewhere. Copper Lane retains ownership of the underlying platform, templates and tooling, which are licensed for use rather than transferred.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate business information, approvals, content, photos, account access, and feedback in reasonable time. Delays in client content, access, or approvals may move the project timeline while monthly billing continues.

Intellectual property

On full payment of the build fee, the copy, design and assets produced for the client's website pass to the client. Copper Lane's own branding, the underlying platform, templates, code libraries and tooling remain Copper Lane's property and are licensed for use, not transferred. Third-party assets (fonts, stock imagery, plugins) remain subject to their own licences.
